Ruth Bennett – “Grace in the Midst of Hard”

Hello from the sunny state of Florida! My name is Ruth Bennett. I was born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. I am the fourth child in a family of ten. I was homeschooled through highschool. At age nineteen I moved to Taiwan to serve a year as an assistant English teacher in the Elementary school system. When I moved back to the states my family had moved to Lancaster PA and I joined them there. I spent several years pursuing a college degree online while also teaching school at our local church school. I love traveling and was also able to spend some time in the Middle East.

At twenty-five, I was swept off my feet to the plains of Iowa by a young man named Ian Bennett. We lived three and a half, very full, years in our church community there until God very clearly moved us to a little town in Lake Placid, Florida, where we now reside.

The story of my journey through the last few years is a story of finding God’s grace in the middle of difficult circumstances.
